Global Traveler: Greece is one of the best Tourism destinations for the year 2021 American Tested Reader Survey Awards.
Once again Greece has been elected in the United States of America for one more honor in 2021. This shows the strength of Greek Tourism within the demanding American market.
In particular, Greece has been honored as the Best Tourism Destination worldwide at the Tested Reader Survey Awards, this is held for 18 consecutive years by the American travel magazine «Global Traveler». The category for 2nd place was Italy, 3rd place was Spain, 4th place was Ireland and 5th place was South Africa.
It is the first time Greece was honored in this specific category at the Tested Reader Survey Awards. We must take into consideration that back in November Greece was honored from the American publish organization «Worth» with the Readers’ Choice Awards 2021 and Travvy Awards 2021, which are both considered the Oscars of the American Tourism Industry.
“Travel to Greece as soon as you can”
With the award announcements, the publisher of “Global Travelers” mentions in 2021 “all the factors of the tourism industry have exceedingly surpassed its potential in order to keep the public available as possible and it is an honor for us to reward them”.
Especially for Greece we note that “whether it’s your first or your 20th visit to our country, be certain that Greece will be on the destination list where you can travel as fast as possible”.
The winners at the Tested Reader Survey Awards were chosen after a survey the magazine carried out among their readers who indicate their preferences in 80 categories that are related to traveling. In other words, most favorite destination all over the world, airline companies, airports, hotels, travel agencies. This year’s survey was carried out from December 14, 2020 till September 30, 2021 and more than 20 thousand readers participated.
The “Global Traveller” has an average circulation of 550,000 readers editions. 50% of them consist of private and company executives who travel via air at an average 9 times within the U.S.A. annually and 11 times within the last 3 years to international destinations. Over 55% of the readers travel annually to 60 overnight 4- and 5-star hotels.
The ceremony for the awards will take place in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on Tuesday December 14, 2021 and the Greek award will be received by the Director of the Greek National Tourism Organization for U.S.A. and Canada, Mr. Konstantinos Charokopos.
